D-Link DGE-550SX PCI-X Fiber Gigabit Network Adapter

The D-Link DGE-550SX is a Gigabit Ethernet network card for multi-mode fiber, compliant with IEEE 802.3z 1000BASE-SX. It provides up to 2000Mbps of full-duplex bandwidth and is aimed at servers that need a fast, reliable link to a fiber switch at distances up to 550 m.

It connects to a 32-bit or 64-bit PCI or PCI-X bus at up to 133MHz and configures itself to the bus width automatically. Features include 802.1Q VLAN tagging, 802.1p priority, 802.3ad link aggregation, jumbo frames up to 9KB, on-board checksum verification, Wake-on-LAN and PXE network boot.

• Gigabit over fiber - A duplex SC connector and 850nm laser to the 1000BASE-SX standard, up to 550 m on 50/125 micron fiber and 260 m on 62.5/125 micron fiber.
• 64-bit PCI-X bus - Works on 32-bit or 64-bit PCI and PCI-X buses at up to 133MHz with automatic bus width detection. A low-profile bracket is included.
• CPU offload - On-board IP header and TCP/UDP checksum verification, TCP segmentation and dynamic interrupt moderation free up the server CPU for other tasks.
• VLAN, QoS and link aggregation - IEEE 802.1Q VLAN tagging, 802.1p traffic priority and 802.3ad link aggregation to combine several cards into one wide pipe.
• Remote management - Wake-on-LAN, advanced power management, PXE network boot and an SNMP agent.
