| Revew | Teltonika RUTC42 Industrial Cellular RouterThe Teltonika RUTC42 is an industrial edge router with two independent 4G LTE Cat 4 cellular modems. Each modem works with its own SIM and eSIM, so the router provides redundancy, automatic failover and load balancing for branches, camera sites, infrastructure and IoT systems. It has dual-band Wi-Fi 6, one WAN and four LAN ports at 1Gbps, and a dual-core processor with 1GB of memory that runs Docker containers. It runs RutOS, based on OpenWrt, and is managed remotely through Teltonika RMS. 
Key features- Two 4G LTE Cat 4 modems - Up to 150Mbps download and 50Mbps upload per modem, with failover and load balancing between connections.
- SIM and eSIM for each modem - Two Mini SIM slots and two eSIMs with up to 7 profiles each. The router switches automatically between a physical SIM and eSIM based on network conditions, signal strength, data limits or roaming.
- Dual-band Wi-Fi 6 - 802.11ax with MU-MIMO, up to 2402Mbps on 5GHz and up to 576Mbps on 2.4GHz, with up to 500 simultaneous clients.
- Docker and edge computing - A 1.3GHz dual-core MediaTek processor, 1GB of DDR4 and 8GB of eMMC let you run containerized applications directly on the router.
- VPN, routing and IoT protocols - OpenVPN, IPsec, WireGuard, ZeroTier, Tailscale and more, BGP and OSPF routing, plus Modbus, MQTT, BACnet, OPC UA, DNP3 and DLMS/COSEM.
- Built for the field - An IP30 aluminum case, operation from -40°C to 75°C, a protected 9-50VDC power input, passive PoE and DIN rail, wall or flat surface mounting with a separate mounting kit.
