A 1.7GHz dual-core processor and a Layer 4 / Layer 7 hardware acceleration engine let it run traffic control, filtering and VPN without slowing down. Synology Router Manager (SRM) gives a detailed view of the network and adds Safe Access parental controls, threat prevention and the VPN Plus server. Coverage can be extended into a mesh network with Synology Wi-Fi points, and USB storage or an SD card can be shared for files and media.
