Finisar FTLX8571D3BCL 10GBASE-SR/SW SFP+ Module

The Finisar FTLX8571D3BCL is a 10GBASE-SR/SW SFP+ module for 10 Gigabit Ethernet links over multimode fiber. It uses an 850nm VCSEL laser and reaches up to 300 m on OM3 (2000 MHz-km) fiber, which makes it a fit for linking switches, servers and storage inside a server room or between nearby racks.

The module complies with SFF-8431 and SFF-8432, also supports 10G Fibre Channel (1200-Mx-SN-I) and is hot-pluggable, so it can be inserted without powering down the equipment. Digital diagnostics (DDM) per SFF-8472 let you monitor temperature, voltage and optical power from the switch management system.

• 10GBASE-SR over multimode fiber - 9.95 to 10.5 Gb/s at 850nm, with a reach of up to 300 m on OM3, up to 82 m on OM2 and up to 33 m on OM1.
• Hot-pluggable SFP+ - Standard SFP+ form factor per SFF-8431 and SFF-8432 that can be inserted and removed while the switch or server is running.
• Built-in digital diagnostics - Temperature, voltage, laser bias current and optical power monitoring over the 2-wire serial interface per SFF-8472.
• Low power - Under 1W from a single 3.3V supply, with a case operating temperature of 0 to 70 degrees C.
• Ethernet and Fibre Channel - Compliant with IEEE 802.3ae 10GBASE-SR/SW and 10G Fibre Channel 1200-Mx-SN-I. Class 1 laser product, RoHS-6 compliant.
