| Revew | VIGI NVR1016H 16-Channel Network Video RecorderThe TP-Link VIGI NVR1016H is a compact network video recorder (NVR) for 16 IP cameras, suited to shops, offices, homes and small businesses. It shows a 4K picture on its HDMI output together with a VGA output, records at up to 8MP and plays back recordings from all 16 channels at once. The chassis has one SATA bay for a hard drive of up to 16TB (drive not included), two USB 2.0 ports for backup and the mouse, and RCA audio input and output. It can be managed from a local monitor, from a web browser, from the VIGI mobile app or from VIGI PC software, and ONVIF support lets it work with cameras from other manufacturers.
Key features- 16 channels and 4K output - Live view of 16 IP cameras with HDMI output up to 3840x2160 shown simultaneously with VGA output up to 1920x1080, and split views of 1, 4, 6, 8, 9 or 16 windows.
- Decoding and recording - Recording at up to 8MP and decoding of 2 channels at 8MP, 4 at 4MP or 8 at 2MP at 25fps. Bandwidth is 80Mbps incoming and 60Mbps outgoing.
- H.265+ compression - H.265+ reduces the size of recordings and the required bandwidth compared with standard H.264 and H.265, so the drive holds more days of footage.
- Auto Initialize - A single click on Auto Initialize sets the basic camera and hard drive parameters and saves installation time.
- Smart events with compatible cameras - Support for events such as motion detection, line crossing, intrusion, region entering and exiting, human and vehicle detection and abnormal sound, with responses such as recording, a buzzer or the camera's white light.
- Remote access - View and manage through the VIGI app for Android and iOS, a web browser or VIGI software, with ONVIF Profile S/T and CGI support.
