| Revew | LG Magic Remote MR22GN NFC 2021/22 TV Remote ControlThe LG MR22GN is the 2022 Magic Remote for LG smart TVs running webOS 22 and webOS 21, which means the 2022 and 2021 models. Move the remote in the air and the pointer follows on screen, so you pick apps and menus just like with a mouse. The remote has a scroll wheel for scrolling and selecting, a voice recognition button, a number pad and quick-access buttons for streaming services. The NFC mark on the remote lets you tap a smartphone to it to install the LG ThinQ app and connect the phone to the TV.
Key features- On-screen pointer - A light hand movement moves the pointer on screen, and you can also drag and drop items, so navigating menus and apps is fast and easy.
- Scroll wheel and arrow keys - The wheel scrolls, selects (OK) and changes channels. Pressing the arrow keys hides the pointer and the remote works like a regular one.
- Voice recognition - Press and hold the microphone button and speak to search for content and give commands. A network connection is required, and voice service availability varies by country.
- Magic Tap with NFC - Bring an NFC smartphone to the mark on the remote, within about 1 cm, to install the LG ThinQ app and connect the phone to the TV.
- Quick access to apps - Shortcut buttons for streaming services, and a long press on a number key opens an app or channel you saved in advance. The button selection varies by region.
- Universal control - The remote supports universal control, so it can also operate external devices connected to the TV.
