Internal Laptop HDD Western Digital Scorpio Blue WD2500BEVS 2.5" 250GB Condition:Used

Internal Laptop HDD Western Digital WD2500BEVS

The Western Digital WD2500BEVS is a 2.5-inch 250GB hard drive from the WD Scorpio Blue line, WD's family of 5400 RPM mobile drives. It connects over SATA 1.5Gb/s, has an 8MB cache and a standard 9.5 mm height. This drive is used and has been tested in our lab.

It suits replacing the drive in a notebook of its generation, bringing an older laptop back to work or use in a 2.5-inch external enclosure. 250,059 MB of formatted capacity is enough for an operating system, applications and files.

WhisperDrive keeps operation quiet and saves power, ShockGuard protects the mechanics and platters from shocks, and SecurePark parks the heads off the disk surface so they never touch it.

Key features

• Quiet with WhisperDrive - WD's advanced seeking algorithms make it one of the quietest 2.5-inch drives and optimize head movement, which also lowers power consumption.
• ShockGuard protection - ShockGuard technology protects the drive mechanics and platter surfaces from shocks.
• SecurePark head parking - The heads park off the disk surface during spin up, spin down and when the drive is off, so they never touch the platter: less head wear and better non-operating shock tolerance.
• Fast and efficient - 5400 RPM, a 12 ms access time and an 8MB cache for office work and home use.
• Tested for compatibility - WD tests its drives on hundreds of systems and many platforms in its FIT Lab and Mobile Compatibility Lab.
