Internal Hard Drive Western Digital Caviar Blue WD5000AAKS 500GB

The WD Caviar Blue WD5000AAKS is a 3.5-inch 500GB internal hard drive from the Western Digital Caviar Blue family for family and business computing. This unit is used and has been lab-tested.

The drive spins at 7200 RPM with a 16MB cache, a SATA 3Gb/s interface and sustained transfer of up to 126MB/s. According to WD the family is tested on hundreds of systems in the WD FIT Lab, so it works reliably in most computers.

NoTouch ramp load technology keeps the recording head off the media, and IntelliSeek calculates optimum seek speeds to lower power, noise and vibration. It suits upgrading an older PC, a second storage drive and home RAID-0 or RAID-1 setups.
