Desktop Memory DRAM Corsair Vengeance LP CML16GX3M4A1600C9

This is a single 4GB DDR3 module from the Corsair Vengeance LP series, originally sold as part of the CML16GX3M4A1600C9 kit (16GB, four 4GB modules). It is a 240-pin desktop DIMM, tested by Corsair at 1600MHz with 9-9-9-24 timings at 1.5V. The module is used and has been tested in our lab.

It suits a memory upgrade in an existing DDR3 desktop PC, replacing a failed module, or completing a Vengeance LP 1600MHz C9 set that is already installed. The low heat spreader lets it fit under large CPU coolers and in compact cases.

By default the module runs at 1333MHz from its SPD, and enabling the XMP 1.3 profile in the BIOS takes it to 1600MHz with CL9. Corsair selects DRAM chips for this series by their overclocking potential, and the black heat spreader keeps the memory cool under load.

• Low 26.25 mm heat spreader - The Vengeance LP heat spreader is 26.25 mm (1.03 in) tall, compared with 47.37 mm on standard Vengeance modules, so the module fits under large CPU coolers and in small form factor systems.
• 1600MHz CL9 via XMP 1.3 - Tested at 1600MHz with 9-9-9-24 timings. The SPD is set to 1333MHz CL9, and enabling the XMP 1.3 profile in the BIOS brings the module to its rated speed in one step.
• Chips selected for overclocking - Vengeance DRAM chips are selected for their overclocking potential, and Intel XMP support allows automatic setup of speed and timings.
• Standard 1.5V - Tested and operating voltage of 1.5V, the standard DDR3 level. According to Corsair the series suits 2nd generation Intel Core systems and works with Intel and AMD platforms.
• Part of a four-module kit - The module belongs to the 16GB CML16GX3M4A1600C9 kit, designed for dual and quad channel operation, so it is a good match to complete or repair a set of the same kit.
