The Intel Core i5-3470 is a 3rd Gen Intel Core desktop processor, code name Ivy Bridge, for the LGA1155 socket. It has 4 cores and 4 threads, a 3.20 GHz base clock that rises to 3.60 GHz with Turbo Boost 2.0, 6MB of Intel Smart Cache and a 77W TDP, built on a 22 nm process. It is used and has been tested in our lab.

It suits upgrading or repairing an existing PC with an LGA1155 motherboard that supports 3rd Gen processors, for example moving from a Core i3 or Pentium to four cores without changing the board, memory and case.

The processor integrates Intel HD Graphics 2500 with Quick Sync Video and support for up to 3 displays, a dual-channel DDR3 memory controller and PCI Express 3.0 for a graphics card. It also supports AES-NI, VT-x and VT-d and is eligible for the Intel vPro platform.
