Processor Intel Pentium E2160

The Intel Pentium Dual-Core E2160 is a desktop processor with two cores at 1.80 GHz, 1MB of shared L2 cache, an 800 MHz FSB and the LGA775 socket, built on a 65 nm process. Our unit is the SLA8Z version (product code HH80557PG0331M, M0 stepping). It is used and has been tested in our lab.

It is mainly suited to repairing and upgrading older computers with an LGA775 board that supports the E2160, bringing an office PC or an existing system back to work, or replacing a failed CPU without changing the board, memory and case.

The processor supports Intel 64, Execute Disable Bit and Enhanced Intel SpeedStep, and in the M0 stepping the maximum case temperature rose to 73.3 C. TDP is 65W and Extended HALT power is only 8W.

• M0 stepping (SLA8Z) - M0 stepping with CPUID 06FDh and a higher maximum case temperature: 73.3 C versus 61.4 C on the earlier stepping.
