SODIMM Memory Adata ADOVF1B163GE

The ADATA ADOVF1B163GE is a 2GB DDR2 SO-DIMM memory module for laptops. According to the label on the module it follows the PC2-6400S standard, which is DDR2-800, with 6-6-6 timings, in a dual-rank configuration with x8 chips (2Rx8). It is used and has been tested in our lab.

It is intended for older laptops and compact systems that use DDR2 SO-DIMM memory: an upgrade from 1GB to 2GB, or to 4GB with two modules, or a replacement for a failed module to bring an old computer back to work. DDR2 memory does not fit DDR3 or DDR4 slots.

Under the JEDEC standard, DDR2 memory uses the SSTL_18 interface at 1.8V. Before installing, check in the computer manual that it supports DDR2-800 and 2GB modules.
