The PCE164P-N03 VER 006 riser lets you connect a graphics card to a PCI-E x1 slot on the motherboard and place it away from the board. The graphics card is installed in the PCI-E x16 slot on the board, and the signal comes from the x1 slot through an x1 adapter and a USB 3.0 cable. This setup is common in mining rigs and multi-GPU systems.

The board takes power directly from the power supply through a 4-pin Molex connector, so the card's slot power does not depend on the motherboard. The board is black, the slot is yellow, and a retention clip keeps the card in place.
