The X870E AERO X3D DARK WOOD is a full-size ATX board on the AMD X870E chipset, finished with a distinctive raw-texture design. It is made for AMD Ryzen 9000, 8000 and 7000 series processors on the AM5 socket and aimed at users after a performance-focused platform.

Platform & chipset

The board is built on the X870E chipset with the AM5 socket and supports the current Ryzen processor family, with an AI-driven X3D Turbo Mode 2.0 to unleash X3D performance. A twin digital 16+2+2 phase power arrangement provides a stable voltage base, and the DriverBIOS feature pre-installs the Wi-Fi driver so the network is ready to launch from first power-on.

Memory & expansion

Four dual-channel DIMM slots take DDR5 memory with AMD EXPO support and overclocking up to 9000MT/s. Storage spans four M.2 slots, including one on PCIe 5.0 x4, with an M.2 EZ-Flex mechanism for efficient heat dissipation and a flexible baseplate, while the graphics card gets a reinforced PCIe UD slot.

Power, cooling & connectivity

Connectivity is led by a pair of 5GbE LAN ports alongside Wi-Fi 7 wireless with a directional antenna, plus an HDMI output and two USB4 Type-C ports with DP-Alt support. On the thermal side, a PCB Thermal Plate improves heat dissipation by about 14% and reinforces board stability, joined by VRM Thermal Armor Advanced and an M.2 Thermal Guard.
