MAXSUN iCraft Z890 ARCTIC LGA1851 ATX Motherboard

The iCraft Z890 ARCTIC is an ATX board on Intel's top-tier Z890 chipset, with an emphasis on unusually broad memory support, dual PCIe 5.0 lanes and a fast USB layout. It is aimed at builders who want a rich Core Ultra platform for heavy graphics cards and modern storage arrays.

Platform & chipset

The board uses the LGA1851 socket to support Core Ultra processors as well as Pentium Gold and Celeron chips, on the Z890 chipset. Its ATX format, at 305 by 245 mm, provides room for expansion slots and cooling. Operation-friendly features include BIOS Flashback, RGB lighting control, onboard Power and Reset buttons, and Debug LEDs for quick fault tracing, with support for 64-bit Windows 11 and Windows 10.

Memory & expansion

The board supports an impressive DDR5 capacity of up to 256GB and speeds reaching 8800MHz in overclock mode, in dual-channel operation with Intel XMP profile support. For expansion there are PCIe 5.0 x16 and PCIe 5.0 x8 slots for flexibility in multi-graphics-card arrangements. Storage includes four M.2 connectors across PCIe 5.0 and PCIe 4.0, four SATA 6Gb/s ports and one SFF-8654 4i interface.

Power, cooling & connectivity

On the network front the board includes a 5Gb Realtek controller alongside Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4. The USB layout is rich and totals sixteen connectors, among them two USB Type-C ports at 40Gbps and nine USB Type-A ports at 10Gbps. For display there are a DisplayPort 1.4 and an HDMI 2.1 output, and audio is based on a Realtek ALC1220 high-definition codec.
