Processor AMD Ryzen Threadripper PRO 7965WX sTR5

AMD Ryzen Threadripper PRO 7965WX 24-Core Workstation CPU

The AMD Ryzen Threadripper PRO 7965WX is an exceptionally powerful workstation processor for the sTR5 socket, based on the Zen 4 architecture and built for extremely demanding professional tasks. With 24 cores, 48 threads and massive multi-channel memory support, it is made for 3D rendering, engineering simulations, high-resolution video editing and professional compute workloads. This version is supplied in tray packaging without a cooler.

24 cores for heavy professional work

The processor packs 24 cores and 48 threads at a 4.2GHz base and up to 5.3GHz boost, together with a huge 128MB L3 cache. This configuration provides exceptional compute power for multi-threaded applications such as rendering, compilation, scientific simulations and heavy media processing, significantly shortening work times.

A 350W power draw reflects the chip's peak performance and requires a strong cooling solution and a workstation-class motherboard.

sTR5 platform & memory

The processor uses the sTR5 socket and supports DDR5-5200 memory in an 8-channel configuration with error correction (ECC), providing immense memory bandwidth. The platform also offers a large number of PCIe 5.0 lanes, allowing several graphics cards, accelerator cards and fast NVMe drives to be connected at once - essential for professional workstations.

Built for workstations

The Threadripper PRO 7965WX is aimed at professionals, studios and organizations that need top-tier compute power, memory bandwidth and expandability. The CPU has no integrated graphics and requires a discrete graphics card. The version ships in tray packaging without a cooler, so a dedicated sTR5 cooling solution must be added.
