| Revew | HighPoint RocketRAID 1720 RAID ControllerThe HighPoint RocketRAID 1720 is a RAID controller card for a conventional PCI slot that adds 2 internal SATA ports with up to 3Gb/s to a desktop PC or workstation. It connects two SATA II or SATA I drives and combines them into a RAID 0 array for speed, a RAID 1 mirror to protect your data, or JBOD. The card includes a BIOS that boots the operating system directly from the array, browser-based management software and a command line interface, and e-mail notification of events and errors. Drivers are available for Windows, Linux, Mac OS X and FreeBSD. Please note: the controller needs a motherboard with a PCI slot, not a PCI Express slot.
