SSD Disk Kingston A400 480GB SA400S37/480G 2.5" SATA 3

SSD Kingston A400 480GB

The Kingston A400 480GB is a 2.5-inch, 7 mm solid-state drive with a SATA Rev. 3.0 (6Gb/s) interface and 3D NAND flash. A latest-generation controller delivers read speeds of up to 500MB/s and write speeds of up to 450MB/s, making it 10x faster than a traditional hard drive, with fast boot, quick application loading and short file transfers.

It is an ideal replacement for a hard drive in an older laptop or desktop to breathe new life into it, and at only 7 mm thick it also fits thin and light notebooks. The drive is designed for desktop and notebook workloads and is not intended for server environments.

With no moving parts, the A400 is more reliable and durable than a hard drive, runs cooler and quieter and resists shock and vibration. Low power draw (0.195W idle) helps laptop battery life, and endurance is rated at 160TB TBW with a 2 million hour MTBF.

Key features

• 10x faster than a hard drive - Read speeds of up to 500MB/s and write speeds of up to 450MB/s (ATTO) cut boot, loading and file transfer times and keep multitasking responsive. It is a simple way to revive an older system.
• Shock and vibration resistant - With no moving parts and vibration ratings of 2.17G operating and 20G non-operating, the A400 is well suited to notebooks and other mobile devices.

• 2.5-inch, 7 mm form factor - The common form factor fits a wide range of desktops and notebooks, including thin and light laptops with limited internal space.
• 3D NAND and long-term endurance - 3D NAND flash with a total bytes written rating of 160TB (TBW per JEDEC JESD219A) and a mean time between failures of 2 million hours (MTBF).

• Low power consumption - 0.195W idle and 0.279W average, with a maximum of 0.642W when reading and 1.535W when writing, so the drive stays cool and quiet and saves battery.
