| Revew | Teltonika RUT906 4G LTE Cat 4 Industrial Cellular RouterThe Teltonika RUT906 is a 4G cellular router for industrial IoT applications that connects serial equipment, controllers and sensors to the network. Its LTE Cat 4 modem reaches up to 150Mbps down and 50Mbps up, and two SIM slots switch automatically to the backup operator on weak signal, data limit, roaming or connection loss. Alongside cellular it offers one WAN and three LAN ports at 10/100Mbps, Wi-Fi 4, RS232 and RS485 interfaces, digital and analog inputs and outputs, a USB port, a microSD slot and a GNSS receiver. RutOS provides VPN, a firewall and protocols such as Modbus, MQTT, BACnet, OPC UA and DNP3, with remote management through RMS.

- RS232 and RS485 interfaces - DB9 RS232 with RTS/CTS flow control and a 6-pin RS485 port in full and half duplex, for serial over IP, modem or Modbus gateway use.
- Inputs and outputs - A dry digital input, a galvanically isolated input, a 0-24V analog input with 4-20mA support, an open collector output and a 40V 4A SPST relay, plus a digital input and output on the power connector.
- GNSS and location - GPS receiver with NMEA 0183 output, NTRIP support and geofencing for tracking equipment and vehicles.
- VPN and IoT protocols - OpenVPN, WireGuard, IPsec, GRE, DMVPN, SSTP, L2TP, ZeroTier and Tinc, together with Modbus TCP/RTU, MQTT, BACnet, DNP3, DLMS and data to server.
- Industrial build - Aluminium housing with plastic panels rated IP30, operation from -40°C to 75°C and 9-30V DC or passive PoE power on the LAN1 port.
