| Revew | Teltonika TRB256 LTE Cat M1/NB-IoT Industrial Cellular IoT GatewayThe Teltonika TRB256 is an industrial cellular gateway for low-power IoT networks, LTE Cat M1 and NB-IoT, including support for 450MHz bands. It suits devices that send small amounts of data, such as meters, sensors and field controllers, and combines an Ethernet port, RS232 and RS485 interfaces, 3 digital inputs, an analog input and 3 digital outputs. Two SIM slots with automatic switching keep the connection running, and a GPS receiver provides positioning and geofencing (not simultaneously with the cellular connection). The gateway runs RutOS with VPN, a firewall and protocols such as Modbus, MQTT, OPC UA, BACnet, DNP3 and DLMS/COSEM, in an IP30 aluminium housing that operates from -40°C to 75°C.

- Dual SIM - Two Mini SIM slots with automatic switching on weak signal, data or SMS limit, roaming, no network or data connection failure.
- RS232, RS485 and Ethernet - Serial interfaces on a 16-pin terminal block with Console, Serial over IP, Modem and Modbus Gateway modes, plus a 10/100Mbps RJ45 port.
- Inputs and outputs for control - 3 digital inputs, a 0-30V analog input and 3 open collector outputs up to 30V and 300mA, with I/O Juggler for actions and SMS, email and RMS alerts.
- GPS positioning - GPS with geofencing, NMEA and NTRIP support. GNSS and cellular connectivity do not operate simultaneously.
- Security, VPN and management - OpenVPN, WireGuard, IPsec, GRE, PPTP, L2TP, DMVPN, SSTP, ZeroTier and Tinc, a firewall with DDoS prevention, managed via WebUI, SSH, SNMP, TR-069, JSON-RPC and Teltonika RMS.
