| Revew | VIGI NVR2016H 16-Channel Network Video RecorderThe TP-Link VIGI NVR2016H is a network video recorder (NVR) for 16 IP cameras, suited to businesses, offices and medium-sized buildings. It handles 160Mbps of incoming and outgoing video, shows a 4K picture on its HDMI output alongside a VGA output, and plays back recordings from all 16 channels at once. The chassis has two SATA bays for hard drives of up to 16TB each (drives not included), an eSATA port, a Gigabit Ethernet port, 6 alarm inputs and 4 alarm outputs. It can be managed from a local monitor with a mouse, from a web browser, from the VIGI mobile app or from VIGI PC software, and ONVIF support lets it work with cameras from other manufacturers. 
Key features- 16 channels and 4K output - Live view of 16 IP cameras, HDMI output up to 3840x2160 and VGA output up to 1920x1080. Both outputs work simultaneously or independently, with split views of 1, 4, 6, 8, 9 or 16 windows.
- Bandwidth and decoding - 160Mbps incoming and outgoing bandwidth. The recorder decodes up to 10 channels at 1080p at 25fps, or 2 channels at 8MP, 4 at 5MP, 5 at 4MP or 6 at 3MP at 30fps, and records at up to 8MP.
- Storage for two drives - Two SATA bays for drives of up to 16TB each plus an eSATA port. H.265+ compression saves storage space and bandwidth compared with standard H.264 and H.265.
- Alarms and smart detection - 6 alarm inputs and 4 alarm outputs for sensors and sirens. With compatible cameras the system supports motion detection, line crossing, intrusion, human and vehicle detection and abnormal sound detection, and responds with recording, a buzzer or the camera's white light.
- Easy and remote management - One-click system initialization adds cameras, initializes the drives and sets the recording schedule. Remote access is available through the VIGI app for Android and iOS, a web browser or VIGI software.
- Compatibility and ports - ONVIF Profile G/S/T and CGI support for third-party cameras, a Gigabit Ethernet port, a front USB 2.0 and a rear USB 3.0 port for backup, and RCA audio input and output.
