The Intel Core i3-2120 is a Sandy Bridge desktop processor with 2 cores and 4 threads (Hyper-Threading), a 3.30 GHz base frequency, 3MB of Intel Smart Cache and the LGA1155 socket. Our unit is the SR05Y version (Q0 stepping, ordering code CM8062301044204). It is used and has been tested in our lab.

It is a good fit for repairing and upgrading existing computers with an LGA1155 board that supports this model: an office PC, a point-of-sale system or a home computer with a failed CPU, or a Pentium or Celeron machine you want to move up to a Core i3 without changing the board, memory and case.

The integrated Intel HD Graphics 2000 includes Intel Quick Sync Video and drives two displays, so no graphics card is needed for office work and video playback. The processor supports AVX, Intel 64 and VT-x virtualization with EPT, with a TDP of only 65W.
