The Intel Core i3-530 is a desktop processor from the Core i3-500 series (code name Clarkdale) with 2 cores and 4 threads, a 2.93 GHz clock, 4MB of Intel Smart Cache and the LGA1156 socket. Our chip is marked sSpec SLBLR (C2 stepping, ordering code CM80616003180AG). It is used and has been tested in our lab.

It is a spare part for older computers with an LGA1156 board: replacing a failed CPU, bringing an office or industrial PC that runs older software back to work, or upgrading from a Pentium on the same platform without changing the board, memory and case.

The processor package also holds an Intel HD Graphics core at 733 MHz that drives two displays over Intel FDI, and a memory controller for two channels of DDR3 1066/1333. Intel lists compatibility with the H57, H55 and P55 Express chipsets, and the CPU supports Hyper-Threading, Intel 64 and VT-x virtualization with EPT.
