ATEN VM1600A 16x16 Modular Matrix Switch 6U

The ATEN VM1600A is a modular matrix switch chassis that manages up to 16 video sources and 16 displays at the same time through hot-swappable I/O boards. It has four slots for input boards and four for output boards, and can mix formats such as HDMI, HDBaseT, DVI, DisplayPort, 3G-SDI, VGA and optical fiber. The boards are sold separately.

The system is designed for large AV installations such as broadcasting stations, transportation and emergency control rooms, video walls and digital signage. Seamless Switch, scaler and video wall functions depend on the installed boards, and the fan, power and I/O modules can be replaced while the system is running.

• 16 sources to 16 displays - Any of 16 sources to any of 16 displays, in combination with ATEN Modular Matrix I/O boards.
• Modular and expandable - I/O boards, fan module and power module are hot-swappable, with an optional redundant power supply for continuous operation.
• 4K, scaler and Seamless Switch - With the matching boards: UHD and DCI 4K at 30Hz (4:4:4) and 60Hz (4:2:0), scaling, close-to-zero switching and HDCP 2.2. With the scaler enabled the maximum resolution is 1080p.
• Video wall and scheduling - Custom video wall layouts in the web GUI and calendar-based profile playback with a real-time clock (RTC).
• Comprehensive control - Front panel pushbuttons, RS-232, RS-422/485, Ethernet (web GUI / Telnet) and the ATEN Video Matrix Control app, plus a bi-directional RS-232 channel for connected serial devices.
• Flexible audio - HDMI audio de-embedding and stereo audio embedding, so the audio and video of one source can be sent to different destinations.
