Arctic Cooling Freezer Xtreme Rev.2 CPU Cooler

The ARCTIC Freezer Xtreme Rev.2 is a twin tower CPU air cooler that fits a wide range of Intel and AMD sockets. The heatsink consists of 102 aluminum fins and four double-sided heat pipes, and a central 120mm fan with a low-noise impeller sits between the two towers.

The fan runs under PWM control between 800 and 1500 RPM, with a fluid dynamic bearing and a noise level of 0.5 Sone. A push-pin mounting system and a fiber reinforced retention module make installation easier, and RAM clearance is unlimited.

Key features

• Twin tower with 102 fins - The heatsink design with 102 aluminum fins and four double-sided heat pipes improves heat transfer from the processor. ARCTIC cites a Hinnavaatlus test in which the cooler lowered the CPU temperature by 18 degrees compared with the stock cooler.
• Central 120mm fan - A central-mounted 120mm fan with a low-noise impeller and a patented fan holder designed to keep operation quiet. Fan speed is 800 to 1500 RPM and noise is 0.5 Sone.
• PWM control - PWM control adjusts the fan speed to the CPU temperature, which keeps noise at a minimum. The PWM settings can be changed according to a performance or noise preference.
• Wide compatibility - Support for Intel sockets 2066, 2011(-3), 1366, 1156, 1155, 1151, 1150, 1200 and 775 and for AMD AM4, AM3(+), AM2(+), FM2 and FM1.
• Easy installation - A push-pin mounting system provides stability, and the fiber reinforced retention module supports the cooler weight during installation. Pre-applied thermal compound makes the installation quick and clean.
