The Intel Xeon Gold 5218R is a 2nd Gen Intel Xeon Scalable server processor (former codename Cascade Lake) made on a 14nm process for the FCLGA3647 socket. It has 20 cores and 40 threads, a 2.10GHz base clock, up to 4.00GHz Turbo, 27.5MB of cache and a TDP of just 125W.

It supports six-channel DDR4-2667 ECC memory up to 1TB, Intel Optane Persistent Memory and 48 PCIe 3.0 lanes, and suits single and dual-socket servers that need many cores at an efficient power level, such as virtualization, file servers and databases. This is the tray version: the processor only, without a retail box or cooler.
