| Revew | iStorage datAshur Personal2 8GB Encrypted USB Flash DriveThe iStorage datAshur Personal² is a hardware-encrypted USB flash drive in a black body with a built-in numeric keypad. It is unlocked by typing a PIN directly on the drive, so no software has to be installed on the computer. The 8GB model suits sensitive documents that need to be carried between computers, and it works with Windows, macOS, Linux, ChromeOS and Android.
Key features- AES-XTS 256-bit hardware encryption - Full-disk hardware encryption with 256-bit keys and 256-bit SHA hashing. Encryption is done inside the drive and does not depend on the host computer.
- PIN on the keypad - A 7 to 15 digit PIN is typed on the keypad of the drive. Separate User and Admin PINs are supported.
- Brute-force defence - After 10 wrong User PIN entries the User PIN is deleted, and after 10 wrong Admin PIN entries the drive is reset and all data is lost. The design is tamper proof and the keypad is wear resistant.
- Auto-lock and read-only mode - The drive locks when it is removed from the computer or after a time set between 1 and 99 minutes. A read-only mode and a reset to factory settings are available.
- Fast USB 3.2 Gen 1 - Read speeds up to 170MB/s and write speeds up to 133MB/s, with backwards compatibility with USB 3.0, 2.0 and 1.1.
