8 PoE DAHUA NVR4208-8P-EI Color:black

8-Channel Network Video Recorder with PoE DAHUA NVR4208-8P-EI

The Dahua NVR4208-8P-EI is a 1U WizSense network video recorder that records up to 8 IP cameras at up to 16MP and holds two hard drives. Its 256 Mbps bandwidth handles continuous recording from 4K cameras, and 8 built-in PoE ports deliver power and data to the cameras over a single network cable, with no separate switch or local power supplies.

The recorder runs its own AI analytics: face detection and recognition on 1 channel, perimeter protection (tripwire and intrusion) on 2 channels and SMD Plus on 4 channels, filtering false alarms from animals, leaves and lighting changes. You can watch live and recorded video on a monitor via 4K HDMI or VGA, in a web browser or in the mobile app; hard drives are sold separately.

Key features

• AI by recorder - 1-channel face detection and recognition with up to 10 face databases and 20,000 images, 2-channel perimeter protection and 4-channel SMD Plus for accurate human and vehicle alarms.
• AI by camera on all channels - With supported Dahua cameras, the recorder handles AI events on every channel: face recognition, perimeter protection, SMD, people counting and heat map.
• Cameras up to 16MP - Decoding of up to 2 x 16MP, 4 x 8MP or 8 x 4MP at 30 fps and Smart H.265+ compression that saves disk space and bandwidth.
• 8 PoE ports - IEEE 802.3af/at PoE with up to 25.5 W per port and 130 W in total, so each camera gets power and data over one cable.
• Fast video search - AI Search and QuickPick 2.0 (with compatible cameras) find people and vehicles by attributes such as clothing colour and vehicle type, without watching hours of footage.
• Connectivity and remote access - HDMI up to 3840x2160 and VGA, 4 alarm inputs and 2 outputs, RCA audio, 2 USB ports, ONVIF for third-party cameras and access from iOS, Android and a web browser.
