    Motherboard Gigabyte B650M GAMING X AX

    The Gigabyte B650M GAMING X AX (PCB rev. 1.x) is a Micro ATX (24.4 x 24.4 cm) motherboard for the AMD AM5 socket with the AMD B650 chipset. According to Gigabyte it supports AMD Ryzen 7000, 8000 and 9000 processors, dual-channel DDR5 memory and fast PCIe 4.0 NVMe storage. The board is used and has been tested in our lab.

    It is a solid base for a compact gaming or work PC on the AM5 platform: a direct 6+2+1 phase digital VRM with 60A smart power stages, 4 DDR5 slots with AMD EXPO and Intel XMP profile support, a PCIe 4.0 x16 slot for the graphics card and two M.2 PCIe 4.0 x4 slots with a thermal guard.

    For connectivity there is 2.5GbE LAN, Wi-Fi 6E with Bluetooth and an antenna, two DisplayPort outputs and HDMI for the processor graphics, a rear 10Gb/s USB-C port and a front USB-C header at the same speed. The Q-Flash Plus button updates the BIOS without a CPU, memory or graphics card installed, which is especially handy when fitting a newer processor.
