The GIGABYTE B450 GAMING X is an ATX (30.5 x 23.5 cm) motherboard with the AMD B450 chipset and socket AM4. GIGABYTE states it is ready for AMD Ryzen 5000 Series processors and backward compatible with Ryzen 4000, 3000, 2000 and 1000 Series (with a suitable BIOS). Four dual-channel DDR4 slots support up to 64GB and XMP.

It is a well-balanced board for an AM4 gaming or work PC, or to replace a faulty board in an existing system: a PCIe x16 slot for the graphics card plus a second x16 slot (x4), two PCIe x1 slots, an M.2 slot for NVMe drives up to 110 mm, six SATA ports with RAID, and HDMI and DVI-D outputs for processors with integrated graphics.
