The Intel Xeon Gold 6248R is a 2nd Gen Intel Xeon Scalable server processor (former codename Cascade Lake) made on the 14nm process for the FCLGA3647 socket. It has 24 cores and 48 threads, a 3.00GHz base clock, up to 4.00GHz Turbo, 35.75MB of cache and a 205W TDP.

It supports six-channel DDR4-2933 ECC memory up to 1TB, Intel Optane Persistent Memory and 48 PCIe 3.0 lanes. The mix of 24 cores and a high base clock suits single and dual-socket servers for virtualization, databases and HPC workloads. This is the tray version: the processor only, without a retail box or cooler.
